Blueberries are eaten widely in the United States today, but they don’t have a long history as a cultivated fruit.

As a crop their history dates only to the dawn of the 20th century, when the daughter of a New Jersey farmer teamed up with a botanist to cultivate and breed blueberries. The first crops were harvested in 1916, igniting the blueberry boom and our love for this tiny fruit. 

Blueberries are plump, sweet, and juicy, with a color that ranges from indigo to deep purple.

While the cultivated variety of the fruit originated in New Jersey, it’s currently grown in 38 states commercially, and in other parts of the world (Canada, British Columbia, and South America).

Pixar Animation Studios, commonly referred to as Pixar, is an American computer animation film studio based in Emeryville, California that is a subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios, owned by The Walt Disney Company. Pixar began in 1979 as the Graphics Group, part of the Lucasfilm computer division, before its spin-out as a corporation in 1986, with funding by Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs, who became the majority shareholder. Disney purchased Pixar in 2006 at a valuation of $7.4 billion by converting each share of Pixar stock to 2.3 shares of Disney stock, a transaction that resulted in Jobs becoming Disney's largest single shareholder at the time. Pixar is best known for CGI-animated feature films created with RenderMan, Pixar's own implementation of the industry-standard RenderMan image-rendering application programming interface, used to generate high-quality images.

Pixar has produced twenty feature films, beginning with Toy Story (1995), which was the first-ever computer-animated feature film, and its most recent being Incredibles 2 (2018). All 20 of its films have debuted with CinemaScore ratings of at least an "A−," indicating positive receptions with audiences. The studio has also produced dozens of short films. As of August 2018, its feature films have earned approximately $13 billion at the worldwide box office, with an average worldwide gross of $659.7 million per film. Finding Nemo (2003), along with its sequel Finding Dory (2016), as well as Toy Story 3 (2010) and Incredibles 2 (2018) are among the 50 highest-grossing films of all time, with the latter being the second all-time highest-grossing animated film with a gross of $1.2 billion. Fifteen of Pixar's films are also among the 50 highest-grossing animated films of all time.

The studio has earned nineteen Academy Awards, eight Golden Globe Awards, and eleven Grammy Awards, among many other awards and acknowledgments. Many of Pixar's films have been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature since its inauguration in 2001, with nine winning; this includes Finding Nemo and Toy Story 3, along with The Incredibles (2004), Ratatouille (2007), WALL-E (2008), Up (2009), Brave (2012), Inside Out (2015), and Coco (2017). Monsters, Inc. (2001) and Cars (2006) are the only two films that were nominated for the award without winning it, while Cars 2 (2011), Monsters University (2013), The Good Dinosaur (2015), Finding Dory (2016), and Cars 3 (2017), were not nominated. Up and Toy Story 3 were also the respective second and third animated films to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture, the first being Walt Disney Animation Studios' Beauty and the Beast (1991). Luxo Jr., a character from the studio's 1986 short film of the same name, is the studio's mascot.

On September 6, 2009, Pixar executives John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, and Lee Unkrich were presented with the Golden Lion award for Lifetime Achievement by the Venice Film Festival. The award was presented by Lucasfilm's founder George Lucas.

The Walt Disney Company, commonly known as Walt Disney or simply Disney is an American diversified multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate, headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. It is the world's largest independent media conglomerate in terms of revenue ahead of NBC Universal and WarnerMedia, which are owned by telecommunications giants Comcast and AT&T respectively.

The company was founded on October 16, 1923 – by brothers Walt and Roy Disney – as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, and also operated under the names The Walt Disney Studio and Walt Disney Productions before officially changing its name to The Walt Disney Company in 1986. The company grew to establish itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and theme parks.

Since the 1980s, Disney has created and acquired corporate divisions in order to market more mature content than is typically associated with its flagship family-oriented brands. The company is known for its film studio, Walt Disney Studios, which is today one of the largest and best-known studios in American cinema. Disney's other main divisions are Walt Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, Disney Media Networks, and Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer and International. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since 1991. Mickey Mouse, a cartoon created in 1928, is the signature mascot and emblem for Disney, and one of the world's most recognizable characters.

On December 14, 2017, Disney announced an agreement to merge with 21st Century Fox for $52 billion. The bid was later increased to $71 billion in June 2018 in the wake of the completed acquisition of Time Warner (now WarnerMedia) by AT&T. The newly merged entity will retain the former company's name, meaning The Walt Disney Company will remain as the name of the merged business.

SUPERVILLAIN- FREE TOPIC

A supervillain is a variant of the villainous stock character that is commonly found in American comic books, usually possessing superhuman abilities. A supervillain is the antithesis of a superhero. A female supervillain is sometimes called a supervillainess, although the word supervillain is commonly used for females also.

Supervillains are often used as foils to present a daunting challenge to a superhero. In instances where the supervillain does not have superhuman, mystical, or alien powers, the supervillain may possess a genius intellect or a skill set that allows them to draft complex schemes or commit crimes in a way normal humans cannot. Other traits may include megalomania and possession of considerable resources to further their aims. Many supervillains share some typical characteristics of real world dictators, gangsters, and terrorists, with aspirations of world domination or universal leadership.

The Joker, Lex Luthor, Magneto, Doctor Doom, Darkseid, Venom, Ra's al Ghul, Thanos and the Green Goblin are some notable male comic book supervillains and have been adapted to film and television. Some notable examples of female supervillains are the Catwoman, Mystique, Harley Quinn, Talia al Ghul, Hela and Dark Phoenix. Just like superheroes, supervillains are sometimes members of supervillain groups, such as the Sinister Six, the Suicide Squad, the Brotherhood of Mutants, the Injustice League, the Legion of Doom, and the Masters of Evil.

Adjectives ( the drawing activity )

Honestly, I felt that this activity was kind of boring. Our teacher told us to bring colour pencils on that day and we were asked to draw a monster that we can think of. It was hard because I could not think of any interesting monsters. After that, The Frankenstein monster came into my mind so I drew it. Then, we had to describe the monster to our friends so that they can re-create the monsters we drew.

At the end, our teacher told us about the purpose of this activity. It was so that we can use descriptive words for our essays. Without good adjectives for our essay, our essay would be dull. With the help of adjectives, the reader can picture and imagine the situation of that essay.

Adjectives also helps in being accurate and precise. During an essay writing, adjectives helps us to describe someone accurately. For example, a man where as if adjectives was added in, a man wearing a collar T-shirt with black and white stripes with a blue ripped jeans and a white belt. There is a huge difference among these two sentences.

Free- Superheroes

A superhero (sometimes rendered super-hero or super hero or Super) is a type of heroic stock character, usually possessing supernatural or superhuman powers, who is dedicated to fighting the evil of their universe, protecting the public, and usually battling supervillains. A female superhero is sometimes called a superheroine (also rendered super-heroine or super heroine), although the word superhero is commonly used for females also. Superhero fiction is the genre of fiction that is centered on such characters, especially in American comic book and films since the 1930s.

By most definitions, characters do not require actual superhuman powers or phenomena to be deemed superheroes. While the Dictionary.com definition of "superhero" is "a figure, especially in a comic strip or cartoon, endowed with superhuman powers and usually portrayed as fighting evil or crime", the longstanding Merriam-Webster dictionary gives the definition as "a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers; also: an exceptionally skillful or successful person". Terms such as masked crime fighters, costumed adventurers or masked vigilantes are sometimes used to refer to characters such as the Spirit, who may not be explicitly referred to as superheroes but nevertheless share similar traits.

Some superheroes use their powers to counter daily crime while also combating threats against humanity from supervillains, who are their criminal counterparts. Often at least one of these supervillains will be the superhero's archenemy. Some long-running superheroes and superheroines such as Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Green Lantern, the Flash, Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, Iron Man and the X-Men have a rogues gallery of many villains. There are movies and TV shows featuring various super heroes

What actually transpired during the holidays?

Nothing really happened during the holidays because everyone is so focused in doing their stuff where as I am only at home watching television. My friends are all at home doing their own stuff. I guess I can call myself lifeless. I am very lazy so I did not even bother touching my homework.

My holidays are usually boring and it feels like it is a normal school day but excluding school hours. Its always repeating over and over again. Watch TV, eat, sleep. This is what I do every single day. I hate studying so that is definitely not in my to-do-lists. 

The thing is that I do not even play games. I guess I only play mobile games but that is not the point. I am talking about computer games. I have always wanted to play computer games but procrastination gets the best of me and I would eventually forget about it. I will usually go on social media too like Instagram. I guess I just found out why my eyesight is really bad.
